ELEVEN NEWS: VeChain (VET) To Power Limited Edition Merchandise Collection By Team Zuby

VeChain (VET), BTCMVMNT, and Team Zuby have joined forces to create a limited-edition merchandise collection dubbed “Take the Power Back.” The team says the merchandise data will be stored on the VeChain blockchain and each garment will come with an NFC chip that will enable users to get important information about their collections.

Limited Edition Garments on the Blockchain

VeChain (VET), in collaboration with the Bitcoin Movement (BTCMVMNT) and Zuby, a rapper and entrepreneur are joining forces to tap the immutability property of distributed ledger technology (DLT), the building blocks of bitcoin (BTC), and other digital assets to create a limited-edition merchandise collection.

As stated on the BTCMVMNT website, the blockchain-based limited-edition merchandise collection is made up of just 300 items: 125 fully branded T-shirts, 125 caps, and 50 hoodies. The team says the entire details of each collection will be stored on the VeChainThor blockchain forever via NFC chips.

Explaining the reason behind its decision to use the number 21 as its design feature, the team stated categorically that the inspiration comes from the scarcity of bitcoin, as only 21 million BTC can ever be mined.

Empowering the Masses

At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is hitting the world economy really hard, Zuby has made it clear that the primary objective of his merchandise design is to educate, empower and inspire the people to take absolute control over their money via bitcoin and blockchain technology.

In his words:

“I wanted to design a collection that inspires people to take control of their money, whilst empowering and uniting them through participation in the Bitcoin network. Bitcoin is known as the currency of the people and it puts the power back in our hands.”

Sales of the garments will officially go live on November 14, 2020, at exactly 17:00 EST and interested participants are required to express their interest via the BTCMVMT site before the sales begin.

The team says buyers will be able to verify the authenticity of their purchases through an app that will be launched on November 14th.

The Bitcoin Movement said:

“BTCMVMNT has developed a bespoke app for iOS and Android devices. It will be used as a tool by our customers to verify the authenticity of the product they purchased from the BTCMVMNT x Zuby Collection. The NFC chips in our garments come with unique transaction IDs that can only be retrieved using The Bitcoin Movement app to read the data stored on the VeChainThor blockchain.”

A good number of projects and enterprises in various sectors of the global economy have chosen VeChain as their preferred blockchain technology partner in recent times, due to the real-world use cases its DLT solutions offer.

On November 2, 2020, BTCManager reported that Health Revolution, a top U.S.-based supplements manufacturer is now using VeChain (VET) to tackle the issue of counterfeiting.

At press time, the price of VET, VeChain native cryptocurrency is up by 8.74 percent in the last 24-hours, trading at $0.010323, with a market cap of $664 million, as seen on CoinMarketCap.
